Whatever Blows Our Hair Back...
Denise here, and I have to make some confessions....today, I overate at lunch...I know! Whatever!! I ate 5 M&M's instead of just 2...which made me feel all bloated and uncomfortable -- Yuck!
So to compensate, I went running! Weeeee! But after mile 17, I felt like I needed to blast my thighs with some extra calorie burnage and to really take my fitness up a notch, so I did lunges the next mile!! Yes! I can't stand up now, and my knight in shining Civic, Dirk, had to come get me when I tripped and couldn't get up...but it was ok! Because I just utilized the 20 minutes it took for him to get there to do push-ups and tricep presses while I was relegated to the ground! I figured that later I would reward myself with a hot sauna soak (yay even more calorie burning!) and then a nice relaxing 10 mile walk with the family chihuahua!
This day has really taught me to stay positive about my circumstances, and to be able to incorporate any exercise into the situation! I mean, who knew that you don't need any feeling or reponsiveness in your legs to do push ups?? I certainly didn't before today -- and now I know I can do push-ups any time, anywhere!!!! XD
